Can anyone guide how do I populate the Type dropdown is reusable combo.
I tried running the MetaUIMigration through Conversion Program Maintenance but that did not resolve the issue.
As far as I know, the options do not populate within a grid column editor. 
But!
You can type in the details. Put a combo box somewhere on your dashboard and set it up the way you want it, then copy all of that into your column editor model, and it will work as intended.
