Robert,
We have 5 remote sites and all use RiverBed to accelerate WAN traffic.
We purchased RVBD specifically for Epicor and are very pleased with the product.
In addition to the site-to-site data reduction we use the RVBD mobile device on our remote user laptops for additional acceleration
Our site-to-site MPLS is a T1 and performance is good – we only use terminal server for our MES stations on the floor and all users run the native/local client
If you need any additional information, let me know

We have 3 remote facilities in addition to our headquarters office in St. Louis and all of our remote sites connect into Epicor 9 through terminal servers located at our main site. Since our recent upgrade to Epicor 9 we are beginning to have issues with system speed at our remote locations and I have looked into many options on increasing speed.

One of our sites is in a very small and remote location and because of this doing MPLS or increasing the bandwidth for that site is not really a feasible option for us. A few months ago I started looking at WAN Optimization, specifically the Silver-Peak and Riverbed products. I was looking for someone who is currently using either of these products in their environment and is also using Epicor for their ERP system. I came across your contact on the Yahoo User's group for Vantage and wondered if you would mind a quick phone call just to see how well Riverbed works for you in your environment.
