RMA Credit error

Nope. Some people have created BPMs to save the change log information when a record is deleted to get around this problem. And its not just for the part table, you will lose the change log for any record that is deleted from any table.

Silly question but if you have audit (change) log enable for Part
Maintenance and you delete the part..is there anyway to find out who, when,
etc. deleted the part?

Thanks.

I'd look at the main appserver log. You'll undoubtedly see some messages
immediately upon clicking the button.

I use Baretail (www.baremetalsoft. com/baretail/ ) to watch log files
interactively. Its free, and essentially a Windows version of the hoary Unix
'tail' program. If I were troubleshooting this problem I'd log onto my
Vantage server, fire up Baretail to watch the end of the
MfgSys803.server. log, and then try the operation that is failing. You should
see something interesting in the log immediately if you're getting
'Unexpected errors'. My experience is these always generate something that
winds up in the main appserver log.

Usually its missing data that isn't being properly caught in the client,
perhaps because it is missing in setup. My finance folks see this when they
try to enter a $0 G/L transaction. The client lets you do it, but it blows
up on the server.

Testing 8.03.408 When I try to issue a Credit against an RMA, which has been
received, as soon as I click on the Add button at the bottom of the Credit
tab I receive the following error "Unexpected Error - See appserver logs."
When I look at the appserver logs, I'm not sure what I am supposed to be
looking for.

Is this a known problem?

There is a one off fix for this. Give a call to support.
