RMA quantity issue

I am having an issue in Epicor doing RMA/credit memos.
There is an RMA for a customer that has 1 part on 4 lines, each with different sales orders and invoices.
I was able to create the credit memo, but when I try and change the inv date and apply date, I get the message:

The issue is that the total credit memo is more than the original invoice 786505, but the credit is made up of 4 different lines…

I just ran into this again when trying to enter another RMA with multiple orders/invoices with the error:

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Ray Parchim

Is the credit memo you are making only one line? I would think you would have to have 4 lines on the credit memo, one for each line on the RMA.

I have 4 lines on the credit memo.

I’m just throwing out guesses. Did you put a reference invoice on the header? I think if you only want to do 1 credit memo, you need to leave off the references and just put notes on the lines.

There was a invoice reference on the header and I tried to remove it but it reappeared when I tried to save.

My guess is that invoice reference is the one that pops up in your error of it being more than the original. Can you change it to one of the other related invoices and try saving? My guess is that it will error with the new invoice reference. You may just need to start a new credit memo and don’t enter a reference invoice on the header.

I entered a new one without a reference to get the credit done.
Thanks for your help!
