Anyone else experiencing that the EpiBinding field is randomly missing in application studio?
It happens every so often and it is really annoying, I don’t know what triggers it. I add a row-update widget and when I go in to add the columns the top field is Expression and the field that should be there at the top is EpiBinding for the column to update. Eventually deleting the event or going out and in will get me back to having the field.
Yes and its driving me insane. I tried to report it but support couldn’t reproduce it. I just now today updated one of my test environments from 2021.2.20 to 2021.2.28 and the field is there. I’m going to check again tomorrow and see if its still there. Its so intermittent its hard to know if its something that got fixed or what (and support couldn’t find any related PRB).
It’s been happening to me not only on Row-Update but others as well. Similar issue of missing fields in the Properties window. The only way I’ve been able to fix it is to save my work and refresh the browser window, forcing it to reload.
We have created a case in epicor support for this and other similar issues.
We have noticed that we only experienced these issues on Event designer’s properties of widgets and not in any other UI layout component properties.
The suggestion from epicor support, which worked for us (so far…) is to launch Application Studio from a different launching option.
We were using Application Studio App to open the app, then changing the layer to the one being customized. That gave us missing properties.
Open the App, example: PO Entry, then click on the Overflow menu.
This way, we got no missing properties. Tested and confirmed by 2 different clients/users.
It seems to be a cache issue.
