Running V 8.03 via Terminal Server

I don't have any specific documentation, but I can say for sure that it is possible. We just upgraded to E10 from Vantage 8.03. While we were still on Vantage, we ran the client very successfully, both on thin clients, as well as on actual PCs with a published Remote App. Each session does not need its own C:\Client803 directory.

Hope that helps, if there is any other specific information that you need, let me know and I will try to answer.

Is there a whitepaper or any documentation regarding running 8.03 via TS sessions, or as a published app?

Here's some background...

The current setup is 8.03 on a server and the client program running from the client machines.  All are at the same physical location (LAN).

Since being acquired, our new parent company wants to move the app server to their data center.

We all know how finicky 8.03 is when it comes to network reliability and speed, so having the clients and app server over a WAN seems like a really bad idea.  The apparent solution would be to run the clients on TS sessions of a TS server on the same LAN as the App Server.

Are there any special considerations for setting up the client program on the TS?

Does each TS session need its own c:\client803\ directory?

Thanks in advance
