We created a family of part numbers as Sales Kits. This is the first time we are using this feature. We set the parts up as “Sales Kit” correctly as per the procedure described in “Sales Kitting” in Epicor help. the Sales kits have BOM set up. But have following issues
Not printing on Order Acknowledgement or Quotes: When I create a sales order or quote having that sales kit as a line and print the order acknowledgement or quote form, the components of the Sales kit are not displayed.
When I go to make a packing slip for the sales kit to pull the components of the kit, the “Sales Kit Component Issue” screen opens, but no components of the sales kit get loaded. So I cannot complete the pack slip.
See the attached PDF document at link below with screenshots of a sample part to explain the issue.
One more thing… When a Sales kit is added to an order, its components are added as hidden lines. If you then go and change the definition of the Sales kit, that order is NOT automatically updated. So if yo added the SK to an order before defining its BOM, you’ll never see any components for it.
A couple of other things to look at, in addition to Calvin’s comments:
Ensure Print Kit Components is checked on Sales Order Pick List print, per screenshot 1. Ensure that the Sales Order shows the components loaded via Lines / Kits Details tab below. If they are not their, you did not get them loaded onto the sales order, either because you changed the part to kit after it was on order, or some other processing difficulty. Once in a great while, our bigger kits have problems loading, but we never see partial load, either its all there or not. Changing part number and then back again on SO line usually fixes it.
Nancy - If A SK had 5 components when it was added to the order it would make 5 hidden lines. If you update the SK to have 7 lines, and do the “change P/N on the line” thing, does it put all 7 components at the end of the order, or just the 2 new ones?
Or even worse, those two new ones write over the two real lines following the SK line?
The components from the new Kit number get created at the end, new “hidden” kit line numbers following the last sequential number used. Also, the original component lines numbers do not get reused.
Hi @ckrusen ,
I have an issue here when i using mass shipment in customer shipment the sales kits been call and fill the quantity, when I ship the component inventory not deduct and even cant in history tracker.
what is the possibility can happen on this case?
Yes Calvin,
for your info, I has using Mass Shipment to call the list from Order, there’s few item are Sales Kits.
I has using BPM to insert the available Lot number on CreateMassShipDtl adapter with post method.
I able to get the result as I want but when I try to ship the component unable to issue.
I notice after press the MassShipment, when I press Save button the component list will missing, I feel this was the root cause.
Just feel wired or why it keep missing when save, In BPM method directive I use posted method and does that not unable to update quantity and component? The purpose is to auto fill the lot number for those lot tracked part on either normal line or sales kit in component level.
Just seek for any expert here to advise what should I do.
