Sales Order Acknowledgement and taxes

Hi

There is two major places in Epicor where you can put taxes on or not. You
must check those place before trying to make a different sales order report.

1- In the customer, you have the tax tab where you have to put yours
(for example, for different customers, of different country, I set exempt
or quebec....)

2- In the sales order, in the release, you have the tax release that
must be set to your taxes rates.

If those two things are great, you should see the taxes on the sales order.

If you dont see the fields at all on the sales order acknowledgment, then
you must add them. You first need to go in the report data definition on
the sales order acknowledgment, to see if the fields are included or
excluded from that type of report.

Then, if the fields are included, you generate the xml files of the sales
order acknowledgment, you copy it on your desktop.

You open the file of the sales orders acknowledgment report in crystal
report ( make a copy before changing it...) and you add your fields.
Crystal report will ask you to link your report to the xml file in order to
show you a view before you save. And then, you should have the taxes on
your sales order acknowledgment.

The sales order acknowledgement report does not show any taxes from the order either as a separate item (like Miscellaneous Charges) or in the Order total. It does show on the proforma invoice, so I'm sure it's just an omission from the Crystal report. I am posting this here in hopes that some fellow Epicor user adept with crystal has created a version of the sales order acknowledgement to include the taxes.
I added another line to the SOForm in the summary area for tax.

The field is on the OrderHed - OrderHed.DocTotalTax

I modified the @total from ({@MiscTotal} + {@SubTotal} +{@OHMiscTotal})

to ({@MiscTotal} + {@SubTotal} +{@OHMiscTotal} + OrderHed.DocTotalTax})
