Sales Tax - NY State

I have to do this for CA. It's OK, but not great.

I set up a tax region for each of the jurisdictions. I then setup a tax
rate in Sales Tax Maintenance for each different rate, i.e. CA-7.25%,
CA-7.50%, etc. Then the proper rate is assigned to the region.

The customer then needs to be updated for the proper tax region. I did this
manually based on the info from CA.

Subject: [Vantage] Sales Tax - NY State

We will soon be required to collect sales tax for the state of New
York. New York has a very large number of jurisdictions compared with
PA where we are located.

Certainly someone on this list is collecting taxes for NY. How do you
handle the various jurisdictions? A new tax region for each one? Do
you use a program that takes the zip code and figures out the correct
jurisdiction with its corresponding tax rate?

Thanks in advance!
