And now I can’t do that any longer. It only takes one failure to force me back into manually running reports because I can’t trust Kinetic to run them as scheduled.
But hey, lets move everyone to the cloud. What could go wrong.

This seems promising… or should we not get our hopes up.
Kinetic – Americas is scheduled for Reporting Server maintenance on Pilot environment for 3 hours.
From: Thursday, January 29, 10:00 PM Local Datacenter Time
To: Friday, January 30, 1:00 AM Local Datacenter Time
We are performing maintenance on reporting services for the Pilot environment that would impact the printing services in your region for about 3 hours.
There will be disruptions in printings only however Application will be up and available during the maintenance.
I was able to create a repro scenario in Pilot, so I will be anxious to test this.
Oh, I forgot, I got an update a few days ago too. Which makes me hopeful also (i should stop doing that)
Development has concluded that one of the main reasons for the issues is due to recent Kinetic reporting framework changes that are intended to make sure a customer’s custom report is correctly deployed in Reporting Services. These changes are having an unintended consequence of Reporting Services being overloaded.
Development is working on code changes and unofficially expect to have something checked into code by the end of February. I will continue to meet with them each week to make sure things are still on track.
Its like the cat in the hat. Fix one thing and break something else worse.
Amazing you actually got an update on your case. Mine continues to be completely ignored.
Much like Epicor pretends these posts about the terrible experience with cloud support don’t exist.

The base ssrs reports are riddled with bugs like this.
Because they were rushed conversions of the Crystal Reports.
pretty sure this mayve been recently introduced - we’ve had issues with project billing but this has worked before (?)
Possible as I’ve seen reports break on version upgrades from time-to-time.
wonder if they’ll pledge to riddleness-parity going to Bold Reports?
Just ran a handful of reports in pilot and immediately started getting errors so whatever the fix was it did not . . . fix anything. Curious if you see the same. Super reassuring this update is apparently going into live tomorrow too.
Got an email this morning…
Scheduled SSRS maintenance from 11p to 4a “local datacenter time” on the last day of the month.
So if anyone’s got any monthend report tasks scheduled…either you’ll have to juggle your schedule or run them manually.
Happy Friday.
Great point!
I think most are planning on this regardless.
After last month’s random SSRS error caused us to miss a stock status report…I was planning on it anyway. Was meant as a public service annoucement. ![]()
Good catch thanks for the PSA!

Anyone else having Printing issues? Haven’t been able to print anything for about 20 minutes.
Just ran COA listing and it worked fine.
