Anyone know if I can schedule a database conversion to run each evening?
Example, I want the "6430 REcalculate Part On Hand / Allocated" to run each night.
we're on 8.03.409a.

Thanks.
I've been told a few times these have to be run manually.
I just include it as part of my scheduled maintenance.
If you hear differently that would be great.

On a related note...
I wonder if anybody has identified the conditions leading to stale credit values on the customer tracker?
I've seen it happen but I've never been sure what the cause was.

Something like this might be worth trying in test:
"C:\epicor\oe102a\bin\prowin32.exe" -db MFGSYS -ld mfgsys -H localhost -S 9400 -N TCP -ininame "C:\epicor\Epicor905\Server\config\Epicor905.ini" -T "C:\epicor\EpicorData" -p "C:\epicor\Epicor905\ClientServer\cv\cvxa0041.r"

Each of the database conversions list a program .p file, which I'm guessing may reference the files in the cv folder. If it's not an interactive program, the conversion may just run.

Good luck!

That may or may not work, LoL but it may be worth a shot.

I will have to play with this and adapt to 8.03.
Wish I knew the specifics of the .r, I'd just create a job in SQL Server to do it. Much simpler.

You wouldn't want to create a job in SQL server to do it because you would be bypassing the business logic in doing so, which could lead to larger issues.

In version 8, I can confirm that SQL doesn't do anything but hold the data.
There's only triggers for the PROGRESS_RECID_ columns. No views. No stored
procs.

But you are right on..... I do a "before" and "after" db backup and see
what changed. Row counts... and create your own SQL script to duplicate it.
Easy.

Anyone get this to run successfully on a schedule? I used this example but when I run it I get the Progress window to come up with an error "_edit.p" was not found. Unable to run the PROGRESS Procedure Editor _edit.p.

I'm on 9.05.607b and testing this in our pilot environment first. It is a 64-bit box, but I can run the admin tools on it if I use the version in the 32\clientserver directory. My script:
"E:\epicor\oe102a\bin\prowin32.exe"
-db mfgsyssh -H localhost -S 9430
-ininame "E:\epicor\Epicor905\server\config\Epicor905_admin.ini"
-T "W:\epicor\EpicorTestData"
-p "E:\epicor\Epicor905\32\ClientServer\cv\cvxa0041.r"
