Schedule Multi-Job

When scheduling for multi-jobs, the two child jobs I have are moving the job due date to align with the request dates of the material on the parent job, but when I look at time phase I am getting a postpone message. If I turn off suggestions they line up. I have set the reschedule in and out delta for 10 days but am stilling getting suggestions. Not sure why I need to see a postpone or expedite if the multi–job scheduling is working and I have my deltas set?

Similar but probably unrelated, I’ve opened up a support ticket with Epicor due to getting Expedite suggestions for current WIP jobs which cannot possibly be expedited without the use of a time machine in our Pilot environment for Kinetic 2022.2.8 (We’re in the process of fully implementing MRP and our Pilot SaaS environment was upgraded last month, with the Live SaaS environment set to be upgraded to the same version in 2 weeks). So I’m not sure if the issue also pre-exists in our 2022.1.11 Live version.

From what I have seen, the Time Fence and Deltas pertain to the completion dates instead of the start dates. So try adjusting the In & Out Deltas to be beyond the job’s scheduled end dates.

From what I have seen in the past 6 years is that with every update/upgrade they keep creating various bugs in MRP. I discovered this when I was working as a consultant, and now that I’m an Epicor Administrator again. So if you cannot get the suggestion to actually make sense, don’t be afraid to reach out to technical support.

Thanks Timothy, I reset the delta reschedule in and out and time phase is still giving me expedite and postpones. It looks like when I schedule multi-job for the child jobs using the all jobs including successor and predecessor its moving the parent job date out. Not sure why because these jobs are being scheduled in the June timeframe so there is no reschedule before today. Need to keep testing I guess
