We want to start using Setup Group to batch jobs together. Between each group is time setting the machines up for new groups. Is anyone running a similar process that has Epicor scheduling and creating those jobs for them? I’m hoping the image attached helps paint the picture of what I am trying to explain. I know that with Job Batching functionality we could group the operations with a common setup time, however I’ve not found the costing to distribute cleanly (in the past on 9, haven’t tried it recently) and a lot of times we need to break into a group for rework or produce a rush job and that really throws off batching and having that setup be blocked off.
Just looking for some creative ideas on how to slip those maintenance jobs into the schedule.
