Scheduling Overview

Yes I am referring to the Job Scheduling Board. I thought jobs would show up once created from Order Job Wizard.

We have not used the scheduling feature, and are looking to do so strictly so jobs show up in work queue of MES. We use the Order Job Wizard, and check Select All Lines, Get All Methods, Schedule All, Release All. Yet when I check the scheduling board, it's blank. Parts are in Part Master with methods of mfg defined. The Operations have a scheduling block of 1. I poked around the Resouce Group, and I noticed Resources do not have a Calendar defined, but won't they use Company default? Clearly there's a few hoops yet to be jumped through. I downloaded the tech ref guide from Epicor but won't have time to dig in until next week. Can someone give me a high level overview of the minimum items that need to be configured so that jobs show up on the schedule automatically? Is there a process that needs to run?
Thanks,
Jared
EDIT: Something I failed to consider... is there an additional module needed? When I go into Production Management > Scheduling > Setup > Schedule, the option to create New is grayed out. We are also Vista (8.03.408b) not Vantage.
That is for 'what if' scheduling, sand box schedules if you will.

I would tie a calendar at the resource group level, your calendar should
reflect the availability of that resource. Make sure that the
resource/resource group that you want to drive labor and overhead is
checked as a location. That should be the minimum, there is a lot more
options beyond that but those will reflect how you want to run your
operations in further detail. When you say scheduling board, do you
mean the Job scheduling board?
