Serial number base data type must be integer, character or mask

Hi all,
I released a job and then tried to assign Serial numbers.
Later i noticed that for some parts, Track Serial number accidentally set to false.
i have corrected it to True and Verified all Serial number Related fields in the part.
However, i am getting this error while assigning Serial numbers.

• Serial number base data type must be integer, character or mask

Error coming from:

• BO: SelectSerialNumbers
• Method: GetNextSN
• Field: SNBaseDataType

Any guidance would be appreciated.

You should check the serial number configuration on the part at the Company level (Part Maintenance menu => Part tab => Detail tab => Track Serial Numbers checkbox and S/N Format button), then, if it’s still giving you errors, also check it at the Site level (Part Maintenance menu => Part tab => Sites tab => Detail tab => S/N Format button).
