Setting up a resource to schedule properly in Epicor Kinectic

I have a situation that I am not quite sure is the best way to set up. I have 2 CNC DMS dual table machines. In addition to that they can run 2 spoiler boards on each table.

I have a resource group that contains all the cnc’s regardless of their capabilities. Parts are very specific as to where they can run.

the 2 CNC DMS’s though I want to make sure consume the availability of the 2 tables and 4 spoiler boards. see the picture below of what could be running concurrently.

What setup do you advise to be the best for this situation? and do I use in addition capabilities? Any help would be appreciated before I go down any specific path right now.

@JMH6271 , I do not understand your references to DMS and spoiler boards. I could try to answer your question, but would need more information or more detailed scenarios.

It sounds like you have multiple resources you want to assign to the same operation?

so what i meant is, you can assign the needed no. of scheduling blocks at operation level, thereby each operation will call the relevant required number of resources rather than fixed no. when assigned at resource group level, and this should solve your issue

when you say “need multiple resources” assigned to the same operation, yes and no, let me clarify yes there are more than one resource can run this operation, but i do not need more than one at the time, i.e. when job arrives at the resources group area it will go to any available one as all of these resources can do the operation
