Setting up empty DB

Wayne -

Why not just create a new 'blank' company in the
trianing database for with this user may test?

Will they be needing the new company & data
in the future?

The db you copied most likely does not have the
updated schema for your current software patch
level. What level are you on?

HTH,
Calvin

Hi All. Hoping someone can help me avoid waiting till Monday to talk to
tech suppt...

We're running Vantage 3, but I have 4 on a test server. I've been asked
to setup a completely empty Vantage DB on 4.0 for one of our accounting
guys to experiment with. Not a copy of our current data, but rather like
setting up Vantage from scratch. There's a directory: vantage\db\newdb
that looks like it might have what I'm looking for. But after using
ProCopy and setting it up the usual way, Vantage tries to start schema
changes on it, and bombs.

Looks like it's so out of date, the current schema change can't deal with
it. So, is there someplace I can get an up to date empty DB? My only
thought is to try installing 4.0 all over, and running an empty DB file
through all the updates, but I'd like to avoid that hassle.

-Thanks,
