Setting up new scan PC for Docstar

Trying to setup different scan PC to use my Eclipse Client with Panasonic S5046H scanner using ISIS drivers. Computer sees the scanner, but the Docstar Client doesn’t. And when I click on “Select” in the Capture Window (as well as I see errors in the log) the message is about "Could not load file or assembly "PixTools.Pixcore, Version=8.5.1.0… I see the dll’s on the local PC though. Can’t find anything in Google on this. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Looks like ISIS drivers are supported via the ECM Tray Client utility. This excerpt is form the Help system

Using the Scan Feature

This section describes the operating scanner integrated with Epicor ECM (DocStar). Capturing documents by operating a scanner with other software is also possible. You must have an ISIS-compatible scanner installed on your system. Epicor ECM (DocStar) Client Services must also be installed.

  1. Expand the Scan card.
  2. In the Device drop-down, select the hardware device for scanning.
  3. Select the Content Type to apply to the scanned content items.
(the remainder is about changing settings and stuff)

Do you guys go into the “Capture” tab of the Eclipse/Docstar Client? I’m stuck there…

The only local scanner we had was in HR, but we removed it a few months ago. We have a number of MFC copier/scanners in the office and we put buttons on each of them to scan/pdf/drop files into a folder that is watched by ECM.

The scanner was an ISIS fijitsu and it worked perfectly. The whole trick to this is to get Windows to know you have the scanner and that it works with the built in windows scanner utility. Once that is OK, the ECM client should work fine.
