Setting up Reporting Services

Hello!

I recently created a new Test deployment. I have it up and running, but held off on setting up the SSRS. Now I would like to.

  1. Am I checking off the box that says “Create DB”?
  2. Am I checking off the box that says “Import Reports”?

I took a look at another of our dev deployments as a reference:

I am assuming instead of “Dev2Reports”, I would be creating a “Dev3Reports” then?

If it is a brand new SSRS then yes give it a unique name and Root folder and check create DB and import reports.

It worked and I was able to successfully deploy. Thank you.

Except it still won’t produce reports when I tell it to. Sales Order Acknowledgement, for example, they just hang in the scheduled tasks and don’t do anything. No errors, nothing.

You need a task agent running to process them.

See I went to look at Live’s task agent and its empty, but I can print fine.

oooo I see Dev is different… Live isn’t empty, I just didn’t notice the difference at first.

Okay, so I need to set up a Task Agent for this deployment. Any advice?

It is fairly straight forward. Click File new task agent and it is all filed out except for the user and password. you have the print user per the documentation, so that user and password should already exist.

I am always a little shy about messing with computer stuff I am unfamiliar with, but you are correct. It was easy. I am now printing on my Dev server, thank you so much!!!
