We are in the process of upgrading from Epicor 10 to Kinetics 2024.2 and are currently testing our data/functionality in our Kinetics test environment. We currently use some shared warehouses between our different sites. In Epicor 10, the shared warehouse only has to be added in Part Maintenance to the site where the inventory physically is. We are finding in Kinetics that the shared warehouse has to be added to both sites - where the inventory is and the site performing the issue material transaction. Has anyone else ran into this issue? The sites are configured exactly the same in Kinetics as we have them in E10. Is there something that changed that we are missing?
Maybe old E10 was checking the warehouse where the inventory was and now it checks by issue material that a valid warehouse is picked in site no 2 as well. Is there a problem if you have the same warehouse code in the other site too ? Potentially give them same warehouse ID but different descriptions to avoid confusion and everyone might be happy.
