I don't think we've seen this problem on 9.04.504B in the last nine months.
I don't think we had a call for 8.03.40X though. Sorry.

Vantage 8.03.407 Progress

We have seen an intermittent problem when changing the shipto address
on a sales order header and then when you press the OK button on the
pop up to tell Vantage to update the releases, the shipto on the
releases do not update. It works most of the time, its only once in a
great while that it doesn't properly update the releases. Has anybody
else seen this?
What we have found is always the case is because the Release ship-to was
not the same as the header ship-to. If the release ship-to is different
from the header ship-to, and then you change the header ship-to, you
will still get the message asking if you want to update, but even if you
say yes, it will not update. It only does the update if they were the
same before the change. The same is true with date updates.

Yes, only on Sales Kits IIRC

One of our users reported changing the ship date on the header isn't propogating to the lines (Same as Sarah's response). The order was a mixture of regular parts and sales kits and he said he had to change each line.

Have any of you (Steve, Sarah, Mark) opened a case with Epicor on your specific issues? If so, do you have an SCR on it?

Thanks!

We reported it but never got a SCR. The problem seems to occur when you make changes to the shipto information on the release and then later change the header. This looks like it might be an intentional design where a manual change to the release keeps a change from the header from propagating to it, which makes sense if you are setting up multiple releases for each line item. The problem is that you can't tell if a release has been "manually" changed and will not update.

Since 99.9% of our orders are single releases where the header information should match the release information I created a dashboard to display open orders when the release information doesn't match the header information. I usually catch one or two problems a day by checking this dashboard.
