There is a shop warning that triggers if a job is over quantity. I have set up the warning to send an email alert to a production group.
The information contained in the email is auto generated by the alert. Is it possible to edit that alert to send additional information? As of right now, the email gives us the job number and assembly number but we would like to also see the actual part number.
Thanks,
Jasper

Hi Everyone,
I setup certain shop warnings to send an alert to our process person when a
warning is generated from data collection. The problem is, it wants to send
the warning to the shop employee who got the error and creates a global
alert error. This person is not in any email address lists.
Has anyone setup this feature successfully?
Thanks,
Nelson

You cannot pick and choose who will get the shop warning(s) in their email
as you can global alerts. When an event occurs that triggers a shop
warning, the email is supposed to go to the person's supervisor. You need
to be sure the name in your postoffice address book for the supervisor is
EXACTLY the same as that person's name in Vantage or it doesn't get to
there. For instance, I have a supervisor named "Robert B. . . ." in
Vantage, and he used to be named "Bob" in my pab. Bob complained to me he
wasn't getting any shop warnings when he knew events were occurring for
which he should have. I had to begin calling him Robert B. in the email
list before he began receiving the warnings.
