Single level BOM

The one problem with this report is that it doesn't show the revision of the material parts. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a way around this except through the adapters, where you can use the BomSearch function to return the entire bom and all of its levels and once you do this you have access to the material part revision.

Does anyone out there has a bill of material crystal from a BAQ? They tell me I can't modify any of the Data definitions from Epicor. Do I have to base it on a subreport? any info you may have will be appreciated. Thanks.

If you want to get into customizations the BOM (single or multi-level)
becomes almost simple. You can use the Epicor adapter's to get the entire
BOM. You can also use the adapters to get the costs which then provides the
bom_level for each entry in the BOM dataset (but there is a bug in 8.03.409
for the costs that only shows level 0 & 1). There should be a matching
record in both datasets that are returned so you can just go through each
level of the BOM, match it up with the corresponding record in the cost
dataset and throw everything into a UD table. Have your BAQ pull from the UD
table where KEY1=part, Key2=Rev, Key3=AltMethod.

If you do a trace you will see exactly what you need to call in order to get
all of this information.

Does anyone out there has a bill of material crystal from a BAQ? They tell
me I can't modify any of the Data definitions from Epicor. Do I have to base
it on a subreport? any info you may have will be appreciated. Thanks.

You can't change the system RDD but you can copy them and make changes to the copy.
