Solution Workbench how to get a list of all Custom Kinetic Layers added

We will be creating a number of custom Kinetic Layers in PIlot and I would like to copy the menu items over to Live.

It appears now that when i am in menu maintenance and I copy to current company i am unable to set the Module as UD. (we used to be forced to do that). So in the past when i went into solution manager i was able to filter by module = UD.

Am i missing something or doing something wrong? How can i get a list of all the Custom Kinetic Layers for Solution Workbench?

Thank you,
DaveO

I’m assuming you’re using the new Solution Workbench (Kinetic UI)?

I’m not sure if this answers your question… but you would add a new Item Type:

You’ll want to select KNTCCustLayer in the slideout… and then click the search icon:

In the search screen you can use the filters to filter by application (if you want). In the below I’m looking for SalesOrderEntry custom layers:

“Select” the ones you want and then click the “Add” button on the bottom to add them to your solution.

Mr. David: Thank you for the suggestion.

What i am tryhing to do is solution manager the “Menu” item that references the Kinetic layer.

I found the link to backup transfer the Kinetic Layer.

Any ideas?

This shows you all the custom menu items. But then to actually get them in swb you still have to pick them one by one.

Ms. Alisa: Thank you so much - i did not know about that one.

How can i get that list into Solution workbench? By Menu ID?

I have not found any simple or bulk way to do this. Just have to go through the list one by one as far as I know.

Under the “Menu” Item Type in Kinetic/Solution Workbench, there is an “arguments” column.
If you sort it Descending, it will show you all the menu items that have customizations:

Mr. Gabe: Thank you for the suggestion - I do not have any of those. I modified the Kinetic Layer for all my “Part Entry” menu items and they are showing without the layer. Also i should note that after i did the Copy to current company I was NOT able to change the Module to UD.

Here is what my listing looks like: all of the custom kinetic layers show no “Arguments”

Arguments is for classic customizations, and we develop our classic customizations in parallel with kinetic, so that explains why yours is empty if it’s Kinetic Customizations only.

Probably we need a variation of this:

I’ll tinker later today…

Mr. Gabe: While i appreciate the help - and it would be nice to have a solution - Please do not spend a lot of time on this. I manually recreated the menu items in Live and I am moving forward.

Thank you again for the reply and the suggestions.
