So this is a bit of a hailmary, but is there an easy way to switch a ‘base’ SSRS Report from portrait (8.5x11) to landscape (11x8.5)?
I feel like there are a handful of reports that when shown in portrait (8.5x11) the fields jumble up on each other and it is hard to decipher what is going on. I feel like if they were printed in landscape (11 x8.5) it would make the information easier to understand and know what is what.
I am expecting the solution will be to make a custom report in that format but hoping that isn’t the case. I’m working in an on prem 2024.2.7 environment if that helps at all.
You are on the right track. Copy the portrait mode style and create a new landscape style. Start by changing the report orientation in Report Builder. Then resize the width of the report to take advantage of that extra width. Go up to about 10" wide, any wider risks margin issues and blank pages.
Next step through each grid from top to bottom. Expand the column widths, add more columns, and rearrange as needed.
