Stock Status As Of

Just curious about the Stock Status As of caluclation...

I assume that it only looks at certain transaction types, starts with the current warehouse balance and "backs off" all transactions until the cutoff date. Has anyone tried this in ODBC or even (gulp) a BAQ?
