Is anyone else experiencing KINETIC 2023 1.4 FIFO-LOT STOCK-STAT -vs- GL Account balance issues???
Having supported EPICOR ERP environments since 2007… I am quite familiar with numerous reasons for STOCK-STAT report not balancing to GL accounts (refer to detailed post Nov 2017 -Jadecorp id). Usually, the STK-STAT is lower as the GL Accounts absorb detail Part Trans and the report can normally exclude non-nettable and other things.
We are experiencing a HIGHER stock-stat -vs- GL w/o discovering reason(s) after an extensive DEEP DIVE-Audit
Once Capture-routine is processed/earliest apply date is managed for transaction lock-down, the STK-STAT report for a particular mth-end date should produce the same output day-after-day… but in the EPICOR-WORLD the system uses the PART-COST data from the ‘one’ costing table for environments that are STD, LAST, AVG costed. Therefore, execution of Stk-stat report on work-day 5 of a new month… and any cost change to the PART COST table will result in changes to the Stk-stat report targeting the same month-end date when report is executed on subsequent days .
Strangely… in a FIFO LOT environment , becoming involved quite recently, we are experiencing the following after January 2023 go-live. Generally, from Feb-May there was minimal delta, then June mth-end Stock-Stat 70K higher! The question is… how can detailed entries on the STK-STAT report which has output with each-specific-LOT and associated cost for that specific LOT change… day to day?
If anyone has successfully utilized a PDF-EXCEL conversion program… PLEASE provide feedback, as I have tried two w/o resulting in somewhat clean data-representation. I would like to compare two Stock-stat reports to ISOLATE the specific changes in order to extend the AUDIT process - Deep DIVE!
To date, nothing has been discovered after audited GL Controls… reconciled details of GL Inventory Acct to transactions (which really was unnecessary since Capture POSTS from the part tran table), executed a number of BAQ/s. While there are a minimal number of ADJ-trans in the 1st day-or-two of a new month, these trans have bene reconciled.
As a result… other than manually comparing two stock-stat PDF reports side-by-side (900 pages for one of 6 companies)… or using a reliable and effective PDF to EXCEL conversion program to identify the specific parts, I am stymied! Truly do not desire to have a BAQ attempt to mimic the stock-stat output as the effort would be extensive!
APPRECAITE and ‘insight’ [pun intended] !
