I think Epicor's logic behind this is flawed... but the part number on the
job assembly has to have its "generate suggestions" box checked off in the
Part Maintenance / Inventory screen for them to be considered.

That sounds like a good possibility. I'd bet the "released" box needs to
be checked off, too.

After nearly three years of using Vantage, we are finally getting around to
using Purchasing Suggestions (v 4.0). I have been testing various processes
and everything seems fine except for Subcontract lines on Jobs. These never
show up in Purchasing Suggestions regardless of what I try.

The only thing I can see that might cause a problem is that we aren't using
the Scheduling module yet so there are no Start Dates on the Job Operation
(Subcontract). I've looked through the help files for other ideas but still
can't find any solution.

Is Generate Suggestions supposed to get Subcontract operations from Jobs?

Is there a secret handshake I don't know about???

Please help!
