Supplier Ratings

Pick a supplier with a few PO's. Then review those PO's for what was
received early, late, and on-time. The actual supplier performance is
accurately represented in the Supplier Performance Dashboard.



I logged a call with support and am waiting for a response.

Could you be more specific? What is the dashboard showing and what
should it
(or not) be showing?

We have the ability to manually apply various ratings to our suppliers
through SRM. Anyone know if Vantage/Vista can do this in a more
rigorous and automated way? Shouldn't the system be able to
automatically give an On Time Rating of "A" to a company who is on time
90% of the time or something like that? Or automatically reduce the
quality rating if received items fail inspection. Otherwise this is a
fully manual rating process that will rarely be preformed, if ever. Any
thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

fair, I have never seen a mid-level ERP system that will does.



What bothers me is when a function does not work as advertised. Be
careful when using the Supplier Performance Dashboard as it does not
report accurate data.

I agree Andrew. Most systems have very generic 'canned' ratings paradigms & most companies have very custom paradigms.

Best to just use Vantage as the data collection repository (PO on time delivery and Inspection Fails/DMR rejects, etc.,) & then write your own report that uses your companies own (likely unique to some degree) 'formula' for determining ratings.
