Symantec AntiVirus Enterprise Edition 8.0

My suggestion is to call Tech Support at the first sign of any configuration
issue. The first year of support was included when we purchased ver 7.6.
When I finally realized I was in over my head I called. They were great,
walked me through the whole thing. Spent several hours helping me configure
and check the system. Nice to have "real" tech support for a change.

Of course, I am a tech illiterate so you may not find it to be as
overwhelming as I did.

Patrick,

Some other file extensions you should block are scr, com, bat, and cab for
sure. I'm also blocking things like avi, mpeg, mp3, etc. to cut down on the
crap being passed around the network. Pretty much the only thing that gets
in here are MS Office documents, cad drawings, and pictures.

I run Symantec AntiVirus Enterprise Edition 8.0, which includes:
Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition 7.5 - installed and works great.
Norton AntiVirus 2.5 for Gateways - working on.

Anyone have any experience or comments about the Gateway product, I'm
installing it today and along with blocking the obvious .vbs or .exe files
would like to do a little email content filtering as well, such as blocking
"Mortgage" Spam, etc...
Any comments or suggestions I would welcome.
