Ok fine, I am allowed to share.
The admin portal has some features and some forward looking functionality. As of now, no access to Live environment b/c we are testing.
I can refresh pilot from a backup of pilot or Live, restart app servers, regen database, restart task agent.
It’s very slick. I moved to cloud b/c this was coming and now that I have a sneak preview access I am very happy.

I remember talking to Mark and Matt back at Insights 2018 about how useful a portal would be. It’s nice to see it finally here!
As someone who’s currently waiting for my Regen request to get processed…
… we’ve heard mention of this dream portal for a while now, and I’m sure its a large undertaking. But I’ve never heard any kind of target ETA. Is it too early for any kind of projection? Are we talking relatively soon (like 2024.2) or are we talking more like 2027?

I’m not sure on the release date, but I expect it’s not too far off. The epicor team members working on this are part of the forum, I will ask them to put a post together when the time is right.

On prem here, but two thoughts.

Any BPMs that send emails, I’ve started converting them to start with the “Is Production Instance” condition. No need to disable them in dev anymore.

Scheduled things like MRP, I am seriously considering moving those externally to a Power Automate Flow. For two reasons.
a. It won’t run in dev by accident
b. It won’t run at 8:22 AM (in Production) when I realize that the task agent was down overnight and restarted it when I got into work.
Obviously that’s a real story, and has happened many times. MRP must run overnight, not during the day. It takes a lot of resources and time, and it’s going to delete all unfirm jobs which is not a good thing during working hours! I’d rather just skip MRP that day.
