Test DB & appservers stopping

Thanks, I'm only at about 1.75 now, but I might as well get it out of the way.

Have you changed any administrative passwords lately? I am wondering if
you are having the same issue we are having when the AdminServices user
password expires. As a matter of fact I am in the middle of changing the
user name to a local account which password never expires.

Subject: [Vantage] Test DB & appservers stopping

Hi,

We run a test database on the same hardware as our production db.
It has been fine for several years.

Now, a few weeks ago, the test db started shutting down.
Just looking for ideas what else to check.

The db and all 3 appservers.
I have not seen any errors in any of the server logs.
It has probably been a year since I last did any tuning.
If I remember, live and test were pretty similar, maybe setup for fewer
users, but I'll have to go back & look again.

8.03.409C
Progress 10.1B SP 03 Build 1372.
Windows 2003 SP 2.

The test db is a backup of production, usually a week or two old at the
most.

Thanks

If your database is Progress you might want to check the file size. If it is greater than 2 GB you will need to EnableLargeFiles on your test db.
