Theory of Constraints

Vantage's e-Scheduling, or APS (whatever it's being called these days) is an
excellent tool for applying Theory of Constraints, and it's actually not too
expensive considering it's power. The basic package was developed by a
professor from Cornell who literally wrote the book called 'Production
Scheduling' and embraces TOC as one of his methods.

The bad news is that APS is as big as Vantage itself (but not as expensive)
and is huge to setup and get running. We've been on Vantage for 3 years and
haven't gotten it working - both from our fault and from lots of personnel
changes at Epicor.

If you have specific scheduling issues you'd like to ask about, let me know.
