This Transaction will result in a negative on hand quantity

We love SQL :sunny:

But did you try

We did not run that one, and before Epicor gives us any data fix they want us to run that process for this specific part. Fingers crossed this works.

Welcome to the group Bobbie! Fair warning, you’re going to run into quite a few folks here (people like me and Epicor) who frown upon updating the database directly…so be careful out there - especially on E10 and up.

To @Mark_Wonsil 's point, you can achieve almost anything via the appropriate Epicor business objects that you would update via SQL. It just takes a little longer to find the object you need sometimes, but it is best practice.

Mark, I wasn’t suggesting doing anything to the database directly. Many data fixes that we get from Epicor are due to SQL. Always run the fixes suggested, never go through the backdoor. I was just implying the fixes are needed because of SQL. I guess I was being a little snarky even though I am genuinely a Microsoft fan.

I’m getting this error in Pilot for a part that I manually added with quantity adjustment to a new bin.

How tcan I be running out, I just added it and there have been no transactions?

In my previous ERP system (the name that shall not be spoken) they anticipated this and had a form for Misc. Receipt, Misc. Issue, and Quantity Adjustment. Why Quantity Adjustment when there were other forms for receipt and issue to correct inventory? The Quantity Adjustment allowed you to adjust an inventory value to a value, not by a value. In this case, one would simply perform a Quantity Adjustment to a value of zero (0). Perhaps we should petition Epicor to create a similar form.

You might also be able to do it via Cycle Count. That should set inventory to the counted value, in this case zero.

Are you shipping from the same Bin where you added the inventory?
