Hello Again-

As I was reviewing what access is allowed in 4.0, I found a problem (I have
loaded 4.0 client on all of our machines for training purposes - this
contains 3.0 G/L & A/P live data from back in May). I granted our Inside
Sales clerk access to Quote Management & Customer Service (basis access,
correct?), however, I noticed she has access to the TRACKER section of
EXECUTIVE ANALYSIS. Within TRACKER, she can access the A/P INVOICE TRACKER
& VENDOR TRACKER. The problem being, we pay a former owner a considerable
amount of money on a monthly basis via A/P, and now, I believe, everyone has
access to view these amounts!! Is there anyway to restrict access to
certain sections of TRACKER, or any other section for that matter (I would
have assumed that having ACCOUNTS PAYABLE access would have been
required!!)? Any assistance would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Rick, from within the tracker section, there is subcomponent security on
every tracker, and even some subcomponent security under that. From my
experience, we have been able to keep everybody out of what they don't need
to see by using subcomponent security. This can be accessed through System
Management/ Security maintenance/ menu security. Then, under executive
analysis, you will see trackers, double-click trackers, and every tracker
will be listed. Now, you can assign security to each tracker.
