Tracker version of custo does not remove panel card New/Delete buttons

For Project Entry a customization was made with several panel card grids to add/delete related data. The add/delete buttons for those grids are displayed and work as expected.

The project tracker in Kinetic is a read only version of project entry using the same custo.

Looks OK, except that my new panel card grid buttons for add/delete still work in the tracker which should not happen. The standard Epicor panel card grids in Project Tracker do not display add/delete buttons.

Any suggestions how to solve this without creating a separate custo for the tracker?

I am applying a customization to a standard Epicor tracker menu-item that has read-only enabled. Everything else works read-only as expected, except for this.
