You can try using the Project feature in Vantage. There are project number
fields in Order, Purchase Order and Jobs. This will tie all costs to one
project. We also create simple jobs for the purpose of recording our
development engineers' time--if I remember correctly, the operations on the
job are set up for "quantity only", so when they punch to the operation and
record a production quantity of 2, it logs it as two hours.
