We have in Epicor about 30+ companies and in a lot of cases we have people set up as an employee across several companies. When the time to “offboard” them happens, I needed to look for that person records across all companies (User, Employee, Workforce, Buyer). I made a dashboard to show me which records exist but also in which companies. I’m trying to make this dashboard updatable, so I only need to click some checkboxes and that’s it, but Epicor is not letting me do so. Am I missing something or is this not even possible?
Thanks all
It’s possible, but you’ll need custom code (I believe). Is that something you are able to do?
I was looking for something more “out-of-the-box” than customizing it but seems that is not the case.
I need to think about if I want to go with codding as you said, or maybe an API call. But thanks for the suggestion.
Check to be sure that the BAQ has both “Cross Company” AND “All Companies” selected.
done already but Epicor keeps saying that I can’t update records from a different company from the one I’m currently logged in.
I have an updateable baq that works cross company so I know its possible, maybe put screenshots of your BAQ?
does your BAQ include the Company field(s) in the table(s) you’re displaying?
What if you throw it into a dashboard. Does it work then?
Maybe it only works with some methods.
same results, not working
I’ll start from fresh and let you know the results.
Mine is not an updateext method. I wonder if that makes a difference.
Is your User Account set for “BAQ Advanced User” and “Allow Creation of Cross Company BAQ”?
