Un - Initialize Physical Inventory / Not showing up in count cycle maintenance

I’m just a hapless user that has been throw in to the position of figuring out how to do physical inventory in Epicor. I am pretty bummed as I can’t seem to get past step 1. We learned how to do cycle counts very recently and have been able to repeat that process ok.

I am in a test system and I selected the warehouse I wanted in Initialize Physical Warehouse. I am unable to find anything related in the count cycle maintenance. I see some old notes about include physical for options, but I don’t believe that is an option now. None of my available cycles have Full Physical checked.

Question 1: Can I do something to undo the intialize physical process. Currently I do not even see any warehouses as options to select now. I had made two tiny warehouses to test. Even our big warehouse is not available, either myself or someone must have accidently selected it at some point.

Question 2: Why would I not see options in count cycle maintenance? Is not having ABC assigned at the WH level an issue?

Here is my test to replicate your issue.

First - initialize the inventory in the FAB warehouse.

Next, search for it. Click here:

Then check off Physical only and click Search:

The Physical/Cycle process is pretty Rube-Goldberg-ish. There are ways in which a physical inventory is nearly identical to a cycle count, and ways that they are different. And a physical often only happens once a year, so it takes years to really get a good grasp of it.

TBH, I don’t think I’ve ever written any notes on a physical. I have lots of notes for cycle counts, but not for a PI. I really should…
