If you are new to Vantage:

1. Purchase the Epicor Tools User Guide (about $75).

2. View the eLearnings on the Epicor website under Education-Courses.

3. View the Webcasts on the Epicor website under Resources. (They
are much like the eLearnings and they are free.)

4. Use the Search on the Epicor website to search for AnswerBook
documents which are how-tos for various Vantage questions.

5. Review the Files section on this Yahoo Vantage User's Group.

6. When you have a problem, search the Old Messages on this Yahoo
Vantage User's Group page.

I have a user who when she right mouse clicks on icon it opens rather than giving her the option to add it to the Favorites.
Any ideas?

Is she left-handed? What happens when she left-clicks? Some mouse drivers
allows you to switch the behavior of the buttons. Try setting it back to the
default (usually in control panel).

Mark W.
No, she's right-handed. And all of her settings are default.
It opens whether she left or right clicks.
I'm at a loss at the moment. Since Vantage doesn't have any settings re: that that I'm aware of, I'm hoping that it's a gremlin that will disappear tonight...

I would try someone else's mouse to make sure it's not a mechanical problem
with the mouse itself.

Mark W.
Jennifer,
I found my workstation doing this very same thing. I had changed my
settings to View Full Tree. When I right click on an item in the full
tree it launches. If I enable the View Menu Items as well, I can right
click on a menu item in the Menu Items panel and it works as expected.
Might this be the issue she is having?

That was it.
And I thought I was losing it. :-)
Thanks, Aaron!

If anyone has any words of wisdom for someone who is new to Vantage, please email me.
(I've been using Vantage now for 3 weeks)
Thanks in advance!

You are getting a list full of wisdom from this group, just keep reading.
Also, if your user likes the full tree as I do, unpin the menu items
panel and dock it at the bottom of the screen so it auto hides but leave
it turned on.
That way they can still click on the menu folder and still access the
items to add to favorites if needed but it stays out of the way if she
doesn't need it.
