Unable to run Epicor through VPN

I am unable to run Epicor through a VPN.

I connected the VPN and I am able to get to the Epicor Server. I ran the ClientInstall and everything went as expected.

Now that the install is complete - I try to run the Epicor APP and I get a “Reconnecting . . .” window.

I tried adding the server name to my local Hosts file. I turned off all Firewalls, and I tried running the Epicor app as Administrator - however I can’t seem to get Epicor to run.

If I RDP to the appserver I can login to the app just fine.

Anyone out there seen anything like this? Any suggestions welcome?

Thanks,
DaveO

You might have to set your User Credentials to the full Server via Control Panel so windows resolves it properly, especially if you are not part of their Domain.

Mr. Hasokeric: I rebooted my VM and I can connect up now.

Thanks for the suggestion - did not think of looking at the Credential Manager - I will in the future.

Thanks again,
DaveO

I seem to be having the same trouble - It looks like I got the client to install but when I log in - it just says ‘Attempting to reconnect to the server’

I see the user credentials - but not sure how to populate - Mine does show a user credential for my server - to I need another to the \server\share??? of some sort or?

I had another user just take there physical desktop home after I installed the VPN connection - and she is having no problem.

I have always used RDP after the VPN connect but would prefer to just act as a regular client once inside the net - so installed the client software and just can’t connect

Any suggestions?

I have seen connection issues when the client machine time and timezone is not set right. It’s a bit of an odd one but the client computer and the server need to have their time set within 5 minutes of each other or the server will reject the connection.

I had one user with the correct time but the wrong timezone so look at that too.
