Unable to Ship Serialized Item from Inventory

Hi Everyone,

We added a serialized unit to the incorrect shipment line earlier, and subsequently removed it. Looking at the unit in the Serial Number module, I can see it going STK-PCK and then PCK-STK after that. When I try to add it to the correct shipment line, I can select the serial number, but then I get the following error when I try to save the line: “This transaction will result in a negative onhand quantity for the bin.”

I’m at a loss because all indicators that I know to check are suggesting that this unit is sitting in inventory. It was originally “picked” for the wrong sales order release, and that sales order release still shows a quantity of “2” in the Picked column in fulfillment workbench; perhaps that is helpful in diagnosing the problem…

Have you tried unpicking it in FFWB?

Yes. It won’t let me unpick anything from the release that it was erroneously picked for earlier. When I go to Unpick Sales Order, it shows 2 units picked for that release when it should only be 1, so it seems like the initial error created a 2nd picking that I can’t undo.

From what I have done is shipped the correct line/release with the correct S/N, then I go back an un allocate the incorrect item/S/N. I haven’t found a better “work around” to date.
