You can mod the form to have it both ways. I tried to find the one I wrote
last year, but don't have it handy. The unit cost on the PO was tight on
space for big numbers, where you didn't care about pennies, but
occasionally we had 100,000/ea @ 0.00550, so I couldn't just truncate
it. I was able to get Crystal to display nn,nnn, nnn.nn for big numbers,
but drop back to nnn.nnnnn for ones that used all the decimals.

You can go into the number format section under rounding or decimal places,
and instead of a fixed number, click the button to attach a chunk of
code. This isn't exact Crystal syntax, but I used something like:

if (int(price * 100) / 100) - price < 0.00001 then 2 else 5

This tests if there are any decimals out in the lest significant digits,
and returns a 2 or 5 to tell Crystal how many decimals to use. You could also

The unit price prints on the quotes with 4 decimal places. Anybody know how
to change this short of dividing by 100?

Thanks.

You can modify the quote form with Crystal Reports. Changing the number
decimals or doing a little math is easy.

Mitchell,

You'll have to use Crystal Reports to alter the decimal place. It's called the "UnitPrice" field. You'll need to go into the formatting properties for the field.

I have to change the decimal place at least once a week. We're having a problem deciding whether it's best to keep the 4 digits place or have a 2 digits place. Aaah!
