We have an RDD that is no longer working properly due to a bad link somewhere along the line. Is there ANYWAY possible to recover the version from the latest SQL backup?
Sure , pretty easy
You can restore your DB to a different Epicor instance (Test)? , then Export the RDD
Well shit…I never even thought of that…time for me to dig a hole and crawl into it. (after restoring the RDD, of course)
KISS Principle
heheh
Any thoughts on how one could do something similar with a custom report? The ReportServer seems to be an entirely different beast…If I am looking at it correctly, ReportServer holds all of the RDLs in it, and if I restore an older version of that, it will screw up other reports that have been tweaked in the past few hours as well.
Yeah that one is more dificult you could do the same but you’d have to take a backup of the current one first, restore , download it, then restore again and re-upload…
If you have a different SQL instance then you could do it there the same as Epicor.
@josecgomez - as awlays, thank you for your help. Everything is back up and operational here now.
