This is my first time using application studio, im trying to make the supplier field in parts/site/detail required. Below is the data rule i setup but it doesnt appear to be doing anything, what am I missing/ doing wrong? any help is appreciated.
Have you considered using extended properties to make the field required instead?
Vendor numbers can be anything but 0. So I am thinking that there is a problem with the condition. But I agree with @Schae235 Extended properties should do this. Did you log out and back in again after you made the change… That might resolve the issue.
Just tested that on 2024.2 and extended props worked here.
Just restarted, still didnt work with extended properties.
Clearing your client cache perhaps?
Since it changes the fields behavior, Does this require Data Model Regen?
perhaps, I will request this.
