V8 compatible checks

I would strongly suggest learning Crystal. I customized our Crystal
checks report, and it really wasn't too hard to do. I did it mainly
because the format supplied from Epicor is obviously the work of a rank
amateur and to pay a premium for a check design that looks like shit was
something we weren't willing to do.

The reason they designed the checks that way was so they could insert 40
lines on the register without having to switch pages because they
haven't figure out how to match the check numbers with page counts. IOW
if your check detail continues to a second page, Vantage does not skip a
check number like ADP does, or like Peachtree does, or like Quickbooks
does, or SAP, or Great Plains, etc... And don't let Epicor tell you that
it is really an issue with Crystal because that is total BS because all
Peachtree checks are run on Crystal.

So if your check line details are going to be many, then I would suggest
staying with the ugly format.

Has anyone found a less expensive source for accounts payable checks
(less than Epicor, that is).

They're asking $210 per thousand, whereas Costco and other sources are
$40 to $50 per thousand. I'd go with one of these non-epicor sources if
I knew that they would be compatible.

I'm new with Crystal, so I don't want to rely on adjusting it to match
some other check.
