V8 - Invoice/Job Number

Hi Mark,

In the crystal report file there is a field as you describe, it is a
calculated field (InvcDtl.Calc_JobNum) The problem with that is,
although the sales order line item has been associated with a Job
number and this displays on the sales order, the field remains blank
on the invoice.

I need to get job number to print out on the ar invoice, has anyone
managed to link this field accross to the invcdtl table?

Hi Brendan,

In V6, if your Sales Order Release is flagged Make Direct, you can
use the OrderNum, OrderLine and OrderRel fields to link invcdtl
through orderdtl to jobprod. That's where you'll find the JobNum
field. Hope it still works that way in V8.

At least in V8.03, the job number prints on the invoiced line item already. Do
you ship from the work order or from stock?

I use the invcdtl table linked to the shipdtl table via packslip# and
packslipline.
