Vantage 5.0 ODBC

I had heard it was the last bracket that gave you the best clue of where to start looking...

I haven't seen these error but I do remember hearing that the
information in the first brackets indicates where the problem
originates. So in your case Merant.
Hope this helps in some way.

I am trying to write a report in Report Builder that shows how many
times we sold a particular part to customers. I am having a lot of
trouble with my joins (duplicate/repeating data). If anyone has built a
similar report could you give me a clue as to what tables you used and
how they were joined. I would really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance,

Juliet
Juliet -

Focus in on the Invoice Detail table, add the
Invoice Head and Customer. Set your grouping
by customer, then part.

HTH,
Calvin

ps: If you want orders open as well as billed,
use the Order Dtl and Order Head and not the
Invoice tables.

Juliet:

Does the Sales Analysis Report (found under Accounts Receivable Reports) not
give you adequate info. This is one of those reports that I tend to forget
about, but you can select it by part, customer, pick a date range, all kinds
of "stuff". Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi,

Has anyone been able to connect and run reports using ODBC and the new
Vantage 5.0?

I keep getting left outer join errors on reports that ran like a charm on
Vantage 4.0

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
