Vantage 6.1 and AutoVue 19.3

We went from V17.1 to 19.3 because some of the files our CAD dept. receives
and use. If I remember right it has to do with the newer version of AutoCAD
Inventor files (V.2009 or 2010).

I swear I asked this question recently but don't see it on the list. So I will ask again. Is there anybody running Vantage 6.1 and AutoVue 19.x. I installed it and cannot get it to work right.

If you have admin rights, it works fine whether you have quotes around parameter or not.

Example: w:\mfgsys61\av\avwin.exe &1 for view
w:\mfgsys61\av\avwin.exe -p &1

if your folder names are longer than 8 characters you are suggested to use quotes around the &1, such as "&1".

This works fine from the server or admin workstation. I got it to work on a couple users' workstation by using the quotes around the parameters but this was not consistent.

Anybody else have problem using Autovue 19.3 on Vantage 6? How about on Vantage 8.03, since we will be switching to that version shortly?

TIA,

Randy Duly
BTW I did uninstall AutoVue 17.1, reboot server, installed AutoVue 19.3. Did not change any security becuase AutoVue 17.1 worked fine before removing.

Thanks,

Randy
Does anybody out there use AutoVue 19.3 with Vantage?

Randy Duly
We have been a long time AutoVue user but were on version 18.

Just in case anyone want to know. I got AutoVue 19.3 to work on Vantage 8 by using the UNC naming convention.

I still cannot get it to work on Vantage 6.1 yet. I will let you know if I get it working, because someone responded to me offline she wanted to know if I got it working because she was having the same problem.
