Vantage 8.00.811B - DMR invoice tax

Jason,

We just left 8.00.811B behind as we upgraded to 8.03.404B. One of
the things we were glad to leave behind was the DMR module. We had
more trouble with it than it was worth. Our biggest concerns were
that it caused an out of balance situation between the GL and
inventory. We went round and round with Epicor to try and solve the
problem, but eventually just stopped using it. I understood that
many of the issues were fixed with release 812, but we never applied
that patch. I cannot speak to the DMR Module in 8.03.404B as we have
not retested it yet. I hope you have better luck!

Regards,

Jim Pratt

We are currently testing the DMR process and have come across an issue.
When we process a DMR to request a credit from our suppliers for faulty
parts i reject the material and tick the request debit memo box. I then
open AP invoice entry and create a group. then i go to actions and
select get DMR debit memos. This all works fine but the tax does not
automatically calculate on the invoice. When i create a miscellaneous
debit memo from the new menu, add a new misc line and enter the part
number info (price, Qty) the tax calculates for that invoice. Am i
doing something wrong or missing a step with the DMR? The last thing we
want to do is have to do a manual tax calculation when we start using
DMR.

Cheers, Jason.
